Behind the Scene’s of a boudoir session with Alyssa Michelle | Orange County Boudoir Photographer

Many clients are nervous about their boudoir experience. Many email me saying that they are surprised they even build the courage up to email!

They don’t know what to expect, so it’s completely understandable!

I take pride in posting as many behind the scenes photographs, as well as videos to show my clients that it’s a casual and comfortable experience for everyone! So here is a sneak peak of how I work! <3

When my client walks through the door the morning of her shoot, she’s greeted with too many hugs that it’s probably a bit sensory overload.

We directly go into hair and make up where my team will ask you exactly the look you are going for! During this time we have many laughs, we talk about everything, outfits, life, excitement, nervousness, etc! Once your done with the beauty team you will see yourself unveiled and let the team know if you want anything changed!

Then, you, my intern, and I will go “shopping” in my Boudoir Closet!

I tell you to pick out anything that catches your eye, and I put it in the changing room for you to try on!

Once we try everything on and pick out matching shoes, etc, that’s when we start to shoot!

I don’t want to give everything away, so I’ll leave the rest up to the imagination 😉

I have videos up on my Instagram 😉

“I think that seeing yourself from that point of view really helps you to accept yourself” | Client Interview Monday | Orange County Boudoir Photographer

Alexis-5

1.  How old are you?
24!
2. What do you do for a living?
Preschool Teacher/ Graduate Student
3. What made you decide to take a leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
I won it from one of the contests you posted on FB!
4. Did you have any obstacles or fears about boudoir?
I feared that I might not like how I looked
Alexis-52
5. Was the session different from what you expected it to be?
I think it went pretty much how I thought it would. You and your team were so nice and welcoming. Getting pampered was so relaxing and getting the photos taken was fun and exciting!
6. What was your favorite part about the entire experience?
I liked every part of the experience from getting hair and make up done, to posing for photos, and then being able to see the final result was so exciting! That actually might be my favorite – getting to see the outcome!
7. How did you feel when you saw your photographs?
When I saw my photographs I was shocked that that was me at first! I love them and I am so happy I did this.
8. Any advice for women interested in their own boudoir session?
I would just say go for it. It’s fun and pictures are memories that you will have forever. Who doesn’t want to look back on these pictures and see how sexy they were? I want to do it again!! Haha really though

9. Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of the session?
I will admit that I am insecure and self conscious so I would have to say that after viewing a lot of the photos they made me feel more comfortable in my own skin and allowed me to see that we are all beautiful in our own way. I also was able to really realize and fully comprehend that we are all so unique and different. I think that seeing yourself from that point of view really helps you to accept yourself.
10. How did you like working with Alyssa Michelle and her team?
I loved working with all of them! I think they are a great team together. They are all great at what they do. (Side note for hair – I don’t usually like curls on me, but I loved the ones she did in my hair!) Thank you!!!

Push on | Orange County Boudoir Photographer

I have always been one that struggles with motivation when it comes to my health.

When it comes to eating, my attitude is very, “Do I eat the entire bowl of chocolate, or only half of the bowl?” haha!
As some of you know, I have tried all sorts of different workouts, but I never stick to them. There is no one to hold me accountable and MAKE me do it.
I will never be one of the many that are a part of the new movement of workout junkees, I hate to workout. HATE it.

Hiking has always been the most enjoyable of the working out tactics that I’ve tried. It’s beautiful, it’s serene, and it’s tranquil. I love it.
Many of you know that I recently decided to hire my good friend, Jeanne, as my personal trainer to help push me through this new goal to lose weight and to feel healthier!

Jeanne gave me a goal of 6 miles per week to hike, thank god I’m being forced to get back into what I really do enjoy, hiking!

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

As my sister and I hiked today, I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming amount of support and encouragement from the other hikers and bikers. Everyone says, “good morning” or “keep it up!”, and there are a select few who push you to go on with, “good job ladies, go go go, you can do it!”

Keep in mind, I do not know ANY of these people, it’s just a wonderful hiking community for like minded individuals.

I love where I live, I love the people, and most of all i love to encouragement from others, it’s EXACTLY what I needed.

I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.

(If you are interested in a personal trainer, Jeanne is wonderful, you can email her here: Jeannexmetzger@gmail)

My favorite season… it brings dark colors, warm sweaters, coffee, pumpkins, and snuggles!

The incredible colors that are trending for fall are super fabulous to follow through with not just your everyday wardrobe, but your lingerie for you boudoir session!
